Hyundai has long been dedicated to their communities, and no endeavor is more important than Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
Hope on Wheels is dedicated to the eradication of childhood cancer, and
was started back in 1998. Over the past 18 years, Hyundai Hope on
Wheels has raised over $115 million towards the fight against childhood
cancer.
According
the the Hyundai Hope on Wheels (HHOW) website, 36 children are diag
only 4% of federal research funding for cancer is designated for
pediatrics.
HHOW,
a national independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded by
Hyundai and a group of dealers in the New England are to support the
Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. From there HHOW has
become a nation-wide effort of Hyundai and its more than 800 dealers
committed to fighting childhood cancer and improving the lives of those
affected.
According
to HHOW, "Recipients of the Hyundai Grants are selected from the
nation's best and brightest institutions. These grants have funded more
than 700 incredible research projects, many of which have led to the
discovery of new treatments for children."
