In 2011
Hyundai launched Blue Link. Blue Link is Hyundai’s cloud-based platform allows
features like remote start and service information to be quickly accessed
through devices such as smartwatches and smartphones.
In the 5
years that Blue Link has been available, there have been more than 90,000,000
requests, with more and more interactions each year. Subscribers remote started
their Hyundai's more than 22 million times and remotely locked the doors more
than 2.5 million times. From inside the car, Blue Link can search for
destinations, schedule service and call for emergency assistance after a
collision.

Motor America. "Over the last 5 years, we listened to our customers and
made things even better by refining our operation, adding innovative features
like smartwatch connectivity and more robust integration with Hyundai dealers.

The
different uses for Hyundai Blue Link are; remote start, door lock and unlock,
automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle recovery, point of interests
searched and vehicle health report. Hyundai says that the top five search
categories are: restaurants, street addresses, health (doctor, dentist,
hospital, and pharmacy), home good stores and lodging.
