2017 Hyundai Elantra

The all-new 2017 Hyundai Elantra features a more aerodynamic design, an extensive list of safety features, modish interior styling, and a suite of easy to use technologies. Hyundais designers and engineers worked in harmony to perfectly blend advanced styling with functional aerodynamics to produce optimal dynamicity and precision. Last years rugged, aggressive exterior design has been given a slightly matured shape, accentuated with smooth contour lines-inclusive of the front fascias iconic deep wells and sleek lines. The signature hexagonal grille has been keenly paired with HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Lights- effortlessly projecting Elantras distinctive character.

The Elantra is powered by a 2.0 L Atkinson Cycle four cylinder engine coupled with a six speed manual transmission or a six speed automatic that features a SHIFTRONIC manual shift mode. Both transmission options give the Elantra an output of 147 hp and 132 lbs-ft of torque.

Inside the passenger cabin, Elantra continues to depict a modern design optimized for intuitive control, improved interior roominess, high-quality materials and premium technology features. The contemporary interior design integrates premium soft-touch materials in key touch points and high-tech details to create an inviting and comfortable interior. The rest of the center stack is laid out in a horizontal design with buttons and controls placed in logical groups by function, and a slight seven degree tilt toward the driver for optimal ergonomics.

If you go with the popular SE automatic model, you'll have some ultra-premium features like the seven-inch head unit, audio controls on the steering wheel, a rear-view camera, automatic headlights, 16 inch wheels, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, heated side mirrors, and a hood insulator with excellent engine noise absorption. If you’re looking for even more additional features, you can always explore the available supplementary packages. There’s plenty of customization to be had with the new Elantra, making it easier than ever to acquire the perfect blend of comfort and convenience in your cabin.

In IIHS evaluations, the 2017 Elantra received the Top Safety Pick+ award after it scored Good on all crash tests and was rated Superior on the collision prevention and mitigation test. When equipped with the Ultimate package, the Elantra gains adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning- in addition to all of its standard safety features.

The new Elantra has been given a thoughtful, classy interior design paired with a smooth new exterior. There are a plethora of available safety and technology features, and the cabin is comfortable and quiet. The base price of $17,150 is remarkably practical considering how appealing and well-equipped the new Elantra is.
